What this tool does

Shrinks up to 20 image files — either to a quality level, or to a target file size in MB you specify. How much smaller it gets depends heavily on the source image. The output format matches the input format. For PNG the quality level controls resolution; for PNG target size, resolution is reduced further when needed.

Limitations

Up to 20 images per operation, JPEG/PNG/WebP only (no HEIC). For JPEG/WebP the quality level controls encode quality; for PNG it controls resolution (Standard ≈ 70%, High ≈ 92%). Target file size searches via quality for JPEG/WebP and via resolution for PNG; if that still isn't enough, the tool delivers the smallest possible result and explicitly says so.
