The controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is Michael Gräf, Elektronikhandel Michael Gräf, Breitscheidstraße 84, 70176 Stuttgart, Germany, email: info@converterfleet.com.
This website and its processing service are hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR with Hetzner as hosting provider is currently being finalized.
When you visit this website, our hosting provider automatically processes certain connection data (including IP address, date and time of access, page requested) for technical reasons — this is technically necessary to deliver website content.
This website does not use cookies — neither our own nor third-party cookies, neither for analytics nor for advertising.
To detect an excessive number of simultaneous processing requests from the same source, our server derives a check value from your IP address using a one-way cryptographic method (HMAC-SHA256). Your IP address itself is never stored. The derived value cannot be used to reconstruct your IP address, is deleted automatically after a short time, and is used exclusively for abuse detection — never for tracking, analytics, or profiling.
Most PDF tools on this website (e.g. merge, split, rotate pages, add watermark, remove metadata) process your file entirely locally in your browser. The file is never transmitted to our server or any third party at any point. Each tool page directly indicates whether a file is processed locally or on our server.
The "Protect PDF", "Unlock PDF", and "Optimize PDF" tools require processing on our server, because the software they rely on cannot run in the browser. When you submit a job, your PDF file and, if entered by you for that function, a password are transmitted and processed exclusively to complete this one processing job you initiated.
The content of an uploaded file is determined entirely by you and may contain personal data of third parties as well (e.g. if you upload a document concerning someone else). We do not analyze the content, do not use it to train AI or other models, and use it exclusively to complete the job you initiated.
The original filename of your upload never reaches our server — the file is transmitted under a name automatically assigned by the system.
After successful processing, the result is made available for download for a maximum of 900 seconds (15 minutes) and is then automatically deleted. If processing fails, the file in question is automatically deleted after a maximum of 600 seconds (10 minutes). No storage beyond this occurs.
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and objection to processing (Art. 21) regarding personal data concerning you. Please use the contact address above.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The competent authority is the Landesbeauftragter für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg (State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information Baden-Württemberg, based in Stuttgart).
As a sole proprietorship, we are not required to appoint a data protection officer (the threshold under § 38 of the German Federal Data Protection Act, BDSG, is not reached).
